One fine morning, amidst our mundane lectures,
A bizarre thought upon my unemployed mind lay…
What would happen if one sudden day everyone gets duplicated???
The word ‘everyone’ would become ‘everytwo’…
May be an allegory of the good and the evil, the Moral and the Satan,
The magic wand and the black horns!
A utopian life it would be -
Learning from one’s mistakes,
Actualizing on the other with faultlessness!
Experience would just get bigger,
Venturing every incident 2^n times…
With networking sites becoming more mosaic,
Full of names, ending in underscores one and two!
Double the celebrities and double the Deities…
A pair of parents and twofold the bunch of friends,
Assignments, projects and exams in teams of two!
How can I overlook the twosome Mumbai local train crowd?
Or not fear the tug-of-war in every other competitive exam??
How can one not take notice of India’s population gearing towards 2295991808???
Ding! What if both the roles have a sinful semblance?
The thought of twice the terrorists,
Just gifted me a few more pins and needles!
Will just deem that material things don’t become two in number,
The graph of fight for property would just grow exponential among families;
The rivalry among nations would paint a catastrophic facade.
Thank the Lord, the bell rang,
A speed-breaker to my incessant thoughts!
Just can’t visualize two lecturers at a time.
What about the timing of death?
What about birth and the biology behind?
How I wish the bell rang a lil’ late!!!
P.S. : I love this concept, I realise it too often in my dreams now!!
